I bought Poppy and Petal Pop. I love the look and feel of both lip balms (especially Petal Pop) but I can't wear the Poppy shade at all because the second I put it on I can taste it. They both smell the same..... It smells pleasant but It has a very strong taste- like floral perfume- and it doesn't go away. This does not happen with Petal Pop.... just Poppy so I'm not sure if it went bad or not. (These are new so they shouldn't be going bad). I am afraid to buy another color because of this but I will definitely keep wearing the Petal Pop.
I bought several of these, thinking they were a dup of a different brand that retails their product for about $26/ tube, which is ridiculous. But, they are not a dup of that product - not even similar, really. These have great pigmentation...but because they are so pigmented, this applicator makes putting the product on a mess. You're going to end up with a lot of goopy, highly pigmented product all over unless you apply just the tiniest amount and spread it around with a finger or brush (which kind of defeats the point of a product that should be fast to apply). The worst part is the scent/ taste. I don't know how to describe it. Melting plastic, maybe? It's just gross. It's not like the other brands that have done a "butter" product successfully. I honestly can't wear these and I regret having bought several.
